Tez Watson grew up in the West Riding of Yorkshire and came to the Moray area of Scotland in 1980 as an engineer in the Royal Air Force, settling in Forres at the end of his career.

He has been interested in photography since childhood, purchasing a second-hand Kodak Brownie during a family holiday to Bridlington. Despite little early success his interest grew through his teenage years and was greatly helped by the purchase of his first decent camera in his early twenties.

His passion has always been for landscapes rather than any other subject matter and a camera is rarely far from his hands, whether hillwalking, cycling, travelling or simply out with his dog “Mac” – just in case that moment arises. Now armed with digital technology his image making has taken on a new dimension having much greater control over the finished picture.

Until December 2006 Tez managed Nairn’s award-winning photographic business C S Boyne; but now runs his own business iolaire photo:graphics based in Forres offering specialised photographic/fine art copying and graphic design services. His photographic prints are available for sale both online and through a number of local outlets/galleries.
